What Spring '26 Changes for Multi-Market Shopify Brands
Two Spring '26 updates matter most for brands that sell across several markets and channels. Channels are now a market type in Shopify Markets, and Plus stores can let customers ship some items and pick up others in one order. And as of June 30, Shopify Scripts no longer run. This is what multi-market and Plus stores should configure now.

Key Points
- Channels are now a market type, so you can set prices, availability, and currency for a sales channel.
- Channel markets are available to all merchants using Markets.
- Plus and Enterprise stores can offer ship and pickup in one order through Feature test drives.
- Test any app or integration that touches fulfilment before you turn on split orders.
- Shopify Scripts stopped running on June 30, so check that every replacement works.
Channel Markets: Pricing by Channel
Shopify's changelog says channels are now available as a market type in Shopify Markets. You can create a market for one or more sales channels, optionally combined with regions, assign a catalog, and set pricing, product availability, and currency, while each channel keeps its own publishing controls. Channel markets are available to all merchants using Markets.
This solves a common problem. Until now, if you wanted different prices on a marketplace or social channel than on your own store, you usually needed an app, a separate store, or manual workarounds. Now the price, availability, and currency for that channel can live in Markets alongside your regional setup.
How We'd Use Channel Markets
A few practical uses:
- Set marketplace prices that cover the extra fees of that channel.
- Limit which products appear on a channel, such as keeping clearance items off a premium marketplace.
- Show a channel's shoppers prices in their own currency where that channel supports it.
- Combine a channel with a region, such as a specific channel for US shoppers only.
Ship and Pickup in One Order
For Plus and Enterprise merchants, customers can now choose shipping for some items and store pickup for others in a single checkout. Before, they had to place separate orders. Customers see the delivery options available for each item based on your locations, inventory, and delivery methods. In the admin, separate fulfillments are linked to the order to show which items are for pickup and which for shipping.
You turn it on through Feature test drives, and Shopify says it auto-releases to all eligible checkouts in July 2027. Shopify's warning is worth repeating: if any third-party or custom app, workflow, or integration touches delivery, fulfilment, or order logic, test it thoroughly first and confirm with your app developers that they support split orders. ERPs and 3PL connections are the usual places this breaks.
Think about the customer side as well. A mixed order means two sets of notifications, one for the parcel and one for the pickup. Review your shipping and pickup notification templates so customers understand which items are coming to them and which are waiting in store, and brief store staff before you launch.
The Scripts Shutoff Has Happened
Shopify confirmed that editing Scripts ended on April 15 and that all Scripts would stop running on June 30, 2026. That date has passed. If you migrated, check your discounts, shipping rates, and payment rules this week against what your Scripts used to do. If something was missed, a discount may simply have stopped applying or a hidden payment method may have reappeared. Replacements now need to come from Shopify Functions or apps built on them.
Testing Market Changes With Rollouts
For brands on Advanced and Plus plans, Rollouts can target a specific market. That makes it easier to test a regional homepage or a seasonal campaign in one market before rolling it out everywhere. Pair it with channel markets and you have far more control over what each audience sees than Shopify offered a year ago.
Audit, Then Configure
Audit your checkout for anything Scripts used to handle. Then list the channels where you'd price differently and set up your first channel market. If you're on Plus and run stores, test ship and pickup in a Feature test drive with your fulfilment apps before you turn it on.
