How Ricoh Imaging Brought Pentax, GR, and Theta Into One Shopify Plus Store

About the Customer
Ricoh Imaging sells Pentax, GR, and Theta cameras, along with lenses, accessories, and sports optics, direct to shoppers in the United States and Canada.
The Challenge
Ricoh Imaging's US store ran on WooCommerce. The team told us it was slow to load and costly to change without outside help.
- Three Brands, One Store Pentax, GR, and Theta each needed their own look and story, and the team wanted to run all three from one store.
- Search That Missed Shoppers searching the old site often got results that didn't match what they typed.
- Kit That Fits Lenses and accessories had to show up next to the cameras they work with.
- Support Content to Move Support, downloads, warranty, news, and ambassador pages all had to move with the store.
The Approach
Ecomm Guys moved all three brands onto one Shopify Plus store, with a clear path into each. Customer records and order history came across through Matrixify. Our Custom Oracle SFTP sync app links the store to Ricoh Imaging's Oracle system. It sends new orders to Oracle every five minutes and brings Oracle's stock counts and tracking numbers back into Shopify. Orders that Shopify rates as medium or high risk wait for staff approval before they sync.
We built the storefront on the Motto theme. Each brand has a landing page and its own collections, and cameras, lenses, and accessories each get their own product page template. Then we added apps for search, upsells, reviews, and email split by brand.

Pentax, GR, and Theta each have a landing page and their own collections, in a single store with one checkout.
Camera and Accessory Product Pages
Separate templates for cameras, lenses, and accessories, with compatible kit suggested on each page.
Search and Mega Menu
A new product search, plus a Qikify mega menu that sorts the range by brand and category. The Ricoh Imaging team can update the menu themselves.
Complete Your Kit Upsells
When a shopper adds a camera to the cart, a popup suggests compatible accessories. The slide cart and checkout suggest them again. Selleasy runs all three.
Tabbed Camera Details
Camera pages hold their product details in tabs below the buy box. Most include features, specifications, accessories, and what's in the box, and some add sample images and a gallery.
- Dealer Locator A Stockist dealer locator. Shoppers can find an authorized Ricoh Imaging dealer near them and filter by product category.
- Support and Community Pages Support, downloads, warranty, news, FAQ, and ambassador pages, rebuilt on the new store.
- Email and Reviews Omnisend email with separate Pentax, GR, and Theta segments, and Judge.me product reviews.
