About the Customer
Nebulous Stars is a kids' brand from Montreal, set in what it calls "the magical universe of Nebulous Stars, a place where stars are born." Its heroes are the Stars, each with "her own unique personality, favorite creative hobbies, and her inseparable Animoulous best friend." Around them the brand sells books and a magazine, creative activities and craft kits, stationery, fashion and pyjamas, beauty products, plush and toys, most of it tied to a character.
The Challenge
The brand's site ran on Wix. Moving to Shopify meant rebuilding a site that is as much a story world as a store, for families who read it in many languages.
- A Character World Each character needed a page, and the Nebulous world needed a map that links them together.
- Many Languages The store had to work in 11 languages, including product pages and activity sheets.
- A Magazine Subscription Readers needed to subscribe to the magazine on the new store.
- Catalogue and Customers Products, customers, and orders had to move from Wix without losing anything.
The Approach
Ecomm Guys moved Nebulous Stars from Wix to Shopify on the Impulse theme, customized to the Figma designs for the home, product, collection, character, publishing, and store locator pages.
The team built the character pages and the Nebulous world map, set up translation for 11 languages, and launched the annual magazine subscription. It also migrated products, customers, and orders from Wix and trained the client's team before go-live in October 2026.

The Nebulous World Map
An interactive map of the Nebulous world, with links through to each part of it.
Character Pages
A page for each of the 12 Stars, from Coralia to Petulia, on one standard template, with their products alongside.
Eleven Languages
The storefront runs in 11 languages, with product page translations moved to T Lab.
Magazine Subscription
An annual subscription for the magazine, four issues a year, on Appstle Subscriptions.
Store Locator
A Find a Store page showing where the products are sold.
Activities and Parent Resources
Activity pages with printable sheets in the shopper's language, plus a resources section for parents.
